What is silicone coating fiberglass cloth?
This orange silicone fiberglass cloth is coated with our specially formulated silicone rubber compound on one side of high-strength fiberglass fabric. This fiberglass fabric product is a strong and durable textile. Our special silicone rubber coating extends the life of the fabric and provides better water, oil, and heat resistance to our base fiberglass fabrics. Silicone rubber-coated fiberglass cloth has better puncture and tears resistance than uncoated fabrics. It is also low smoke and flame retardant. It is a medium-weight woven fiberglass fabric. It is therefore ideal for removable insulating jackets, blankets, flanged spray hoods, welded curtains, and blankets. Our silver-grey silicone fiberglass cloth will not debond in high-temperature conditions and will not become brittle in low-temperature conditions. Its surface is very dry after our bake so it won't stick to the sewing table and you can cut, sew, drape and handle it with ease.
